A 64-bit Windows computer, an internet connection for installation and activation, and a SmartPOS license. Download the installer, follow the setup steps, then activate with the code from your SmartPOS provider.
Can I use SmartPOS without the internet?
SmartPOS runs checkout and stores shop data locally on your computer. After activation, your license allows a limited offline period of up to seven days. Reconnect periodically for license renewal and updates.
Is SmartPOS free to use?
Downloading the installer does not include a license. A SmartPOS license is required to activate the app and use business features. Contact your SmartPOS provider for availability and pricing.
How will I get software updates?
An updater-enabled installation checks for new releases and shows an update prompt. You choose when to download and restart. Finish checkout and resolve pending transactions before installing.
Where is my shop’s data stored?
Your sales and stock data are stored locally on the computer running SmartPOS. The online licensing service manages activation and licensing. Keep a separate backup of your shop data; a software update is not a backup.
